Specialists discuss in Curitiba copyright and technology and culture inclusion, analyzing international and national currents toward a democratic society of knowledge.

On October 28th and 29th in current year, the 8th Conference of Copyright and Public Interests (CODAIP), the central theme will be COPYRIGHT and the TECHNOLOGY AND CULTURE INCLUSION: currents toward a democratic society of knowledge, that will take place at Law University of UFPR, located in Santos Andrade square, in Curitiba. The conference is gratuitous and open to the general public.

On October 28th and 29th in current year, the 8th Conference of Copyright and Public Interests (CODAIP), the central theme will be COPYRIGHT and the TECHNOLOGY AND CULTURE INCLUSION: currents toward a democratic society of knowledge, that will take place at Law University of UFPR, located in Santos Andrade square, in Curitiba. The conference is gratuitous and open to the general public.

In its eight edition, the CODAIP, intend to promote a wide debate between the academic, professional and artistic in the area of Copyright and Cultural rights about the importance of a reform in the Copyright law inside the cultural and technological context of the Brazilian society, collaborating with juridical policies in intellectual property area.

The event this year will have a dynamic focused in the discussion of the latest difficulties of Copyright and others Cultural rights, such as: Regulation laws for internet (Marco Civil); freedom of speech and content; collective management of Copyrights; literary plagiarism, academic and architectural; the Newest Information technology and their cultural, educational, cultural policy and knowledge impact.

The CODAIP, will also, intending to integrate all the sectors of academics, professionals and artists in the area of Copyright and Cultural rights, make available two specific laboratory, organized by GEDAI, namely:   LABORATY OF COPYRIGHT AND EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL PRODUCTION for capacity to the editorial market intended to the qualification of the professional which produce educational material; and other, LABORATY OF CREATIVE ECONOMY for capacity of public managers that work with creative economy.

Every year this event consolidates as a big forum of discussion, opening space for the works of several research groups from Brazil that are dedicated to the study of intellectual property, to participate actively in the  Workshops of the Research Groups, provided on the schedule, encouraging the juridical study and  the improvement of the intellectual rights on the Brazilians universities. The the 8th Conference of Copyright and Public Interests is supported by the “Programa de Pós-Graduação em Direito da UFPR” and the CAPES.
